NETRA TARPANAM : The procedure is done around the orbit of the eye. A specially prepared medicated ghee is poured over the eyes and eyes has to be blinked for a minimum time of approximately 35 minutes. BENEFITS : Reduces pain and burning sensation of the eyes, Dry eye syndrome. strengthens the eye muscles, relieves strain on eyes due to computers, driving, late night activities, bright sunlight, welding rays, furnace heat etc.
NETRA SEKA: Netra Seka also called as Netra Dhara has been given fundamental importance in Ayurveda for the treatment of various eye diseases. This simple technique
consist of preparation of kashaya (home brewed ayurvedic medicine) and pouring the prepared medicated decoction on the eyes.
ASCHOTHANA: Aschothana is the one of the unique procedure done for the eye disorders. The procedure in which the medicated drops are surged on the open eyes from a height of two inches in a prescribed format is called as Aschothana.
VIDALAKA: Application of medicated paste on the upper and lower eyelids for a stipulated time leaving the eye lashes is known as Vidalaka
PINDI: Packed in thick cotton cloth & are kept tightly over the eyelids.
ANJANA Application of medicine to the internal surface of lid margin with anjana salaka is known as anjana.
LAVAGUNDANA: The potali containing drugs is dipped in hot kashaya and fomentation is given around the eyes, cheeks and forehead.
